Rhetorical Design Analysis

(1) Formal analysis
As a first step, I conducted a formal analysis, the factual description of what is seen in the photographs: I recorded quantitative data by assigning keywords alphabetically for each photograph. These keywords consist of elements seen, location, and photography techniques such as: portrait type, field size, camera angle, aspect ratio, perspective, and depth of field.
